Shelton Adds Tarrant County Republican Assembly to List of Endorsements
Fort Worth, Texas - Today pediatrician Mark Shelton is proud to announce the endorsement of the Tarrant County Republican Assembly (TCRA), one of the most respected conservative groups in the county.
“Throughout this election, our campaign has remained focused on conservative issues like strengthening border security, providing property tax relief, and improving our education system. I am pleased the Tarrant County Republican Assembly noticed this and joined our team,” Shelton stated.
In order to receive an endorsement from the TCRA, candidates must garner over two-thirds of the votes cast by Assembly members. TCRA is composed of Republicans who support core conservative, traditional values and is affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Assemblies.
“As a group, the Tarrant County Republican Assembly strives to ensure solid conservative men and women are elected to hold public office,” said Steve Hollern, President of TCRA. “We are thrilled to include Mark Shelton on our list of endorsed candidates. He is the type of true fiscal and social conservative we need in Austin,” Hollern continued.
Shelton is a pediatrician at Cook Children’s Medical Center. He and his wife, Mary Ann, have lived in Fort Worth for over twenty years and raised all four of their children in House District 97. The Sheltons are active in many civic organizations, including Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the Lena Pope Home.
